Hi, I’m Ian Cross, a passionate website developer and front end-designer from Bournemouth, with a BSc Internet Systems degree.

I work primarily with Wordpress and am able to create custom plugins and themes to meet the varying requirements of my clients.

My degree has provided a strong foundation in object orientated php and the ability to confidently engage with the problem solving process.

Being relatively new to the industry, I have worked freelance for a number of clients with the intention of gaining experience and developing my skill set to enter into employment within an organisation. I am passionate about persuing a career within the field and confident in my abilities to deliver fully functional, intuitive and aesthetically pleasing websites.

Currently, I am working as a freelancer.

Adopting a mobile first approach, I strive to create interfaces that are accessible regardless of device specific limitations.

With a multitude of browser, platforms and devices I am mindful of the importance of developing a flexible website.

Employing progressive enhancement and feature detection helps to ensures a responsive, cross browser compatible website. Therefore, a solid product can be delivered, whilst enhancing the experience accordingly where possible.
